Mary Welch

About the author:

Mary Welch moved to Fayetteville, NC in 2006 to be with her sister who was stationed at Ft. Bragg at the time.  She graduated from MS University for Women, Columbus MS with a Bachelors in Business Administration. She also holds a Bachelors in Biblical Studies and Master’s Degree in Divinity from Family Bible College; Fayetteville, NC.  She has been employed at the Partnership for Children of Cumberland County for 12+ years working in different capacities of professional development.  She has a passion for people and making sure people feel seen, heard, and loved.  She makes a conscious effort to see the good in ALL people. Her favorite quote and one she lives by in this work: “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much your care.” Theodore Roosevelt. This is true when working with the community, early child care providers, families, and the children we serve.  It doesn’t matter how much knowledge and data we can provide, what the state regulations require, or what funding is or isn’t available. IF we don’t show we care we can’t or won’t be able to truly reach the people to see significant change. Mary is active in the community and her church. She’s a wife, a mother of 2, and grandmother to 1 precious miracle baby girl.
