Plans, adminsters, and advocates services for young children and their families. Provides funding for programs and services for young children under six years of age and their families, and access to high-quality and affordable childcare, health care, and other critical family services.
Fascinate-U has hands-on exhibits. You can touch and play with everything! In our mini-city, everything is kid-sized! Children can shop at the Gro-Right Grocery & Deli, put on a judge's robe and pass their sentence- gavel in hand, respond to calls at the 911 Emergency Dispatch Center, give the weather forecast at the WNUZ center, and explore our many other fun-filled exhibits!
Provides affordable housing for low-income families. Volunteers provide funds, land, labor, materials, and administrative assistance to build homes that are sold to low-income families through no-interest loans. Selected families participate in the construction. Accepts donations of money, tools, and new building materials.
Our Veterans Services programs are designed exclusively for those that either are currently or have served in the United States military regardless of branch or discharge status. These programs include "Career Empowerments" and "Roadmap to Success."
The Community Services programs are our way of giving back and connecting to the community we have come to know and love. These programs were designed to fill a need in the community and are open to all eligible Cumberland County residents whether they are military connected or not. Currently our community programs include distribution of both diapers and cleaning closet supplies.
Recruits work sites for offenders who are ordered by the court to perform community service. Places offenders at government or non-profit agencies only. Provides the sentencing judge with an alternative which allows offenders to repay the community by providing needed services.
Meals on Wheels for adults 60 and over. Minor home repair, in home-aid, telephone reassurance program, Senior companion program and Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) which helps to better understand medicare.
