Provides developmental child care in three delivery systems: center based, home based, and alternative child care options through Supplemental Programs and Services. Child care provisions can be made for children from four weeks of age to 12 years for full day, part day, hourly, extended, long term and special needs care. Programs are offered in eleven development centers: Alexander, Bauguess, Cook, Eagle, Fernandez, Loredo, Maholic, Prager, Rodgers, Rodriguez and Stout.
Joining hands with community partners we provide a safe and child-friendly Center that supports the prevention, investigation and prosecution of child abuse. We provide forensic interviewing services, and victim family advocacy to referred clients. We provide prevention programs to professionals and the community at-large such as

Improve health status of children from birth to 18 through screening ,early detection, education and preventive care. Service include well child care, sick visits (call to schedule appointment) dental screenings, developmental screenings, kindergarten physicals , head start physicals, lead screenings, sports and camp physicals, evaluation of school problems and immunizations.

Provides breakfast and lunch daily at no cost or at reduced prices for students who qualify. Free and reduced meals applications may be obtained at individual schools or through the Child Nutrition Office.
Provides pre-placement, post-placement, step-parent and relative adoption services for individuals or families living in North Carolina. Post-adoption, foster care, and birth parent services provided.
Provides investigative reports of neglect, abuse dependency, or exploitation, evaluates the degree of damage or risk to the child; cooperate with law enforcement agencies and initiates court action when necessary, counsels and plans with the child's family toward the solution and prevention of problems causing neglect, abuse dependency, or exploitation, and arranges for the provisions of services.
Provides early intervention supports & services for infant and toddler children with special developmental needs and their families. Provides service coordination and treatment planning which may include physical, occupational, speech and language or developmental therapy as needed. Anyone may refer a child as long as the parents are notified.
The program serves North Carolina residents under age 21 with chronic or organic defects or conditions that hinder normal growth and development. Provides financial aid for medical bills including hospital and physician’s bills, rehabilitation, and equipment. Service is for chronic conditions only and not acute conditions. The Help Line is an information and referral Help Line for those living with, caring for and concerned about a child with special health care needs. Callers can learn about health care programs as well as funding resources available to North Carolina residents.

Resources to help pay for medications, medical equipment/supplies, adaptive devices, visits to the doctor, utilities or food.
How to find health care and dental providers.
How and where to apply for disability income for a child.
How to find services when relocating to and within North Carolina.
Information about health care transitions for children and youth with special health care needs.
It is a voluntary program to assist families with at-risk or special needs children to obtain needed services. Support is provided to ensure that children have maximum opportunity to reach their developmental potential. Services include developmental screening and monitoring, physical assessments, preventive health education, developmental activities, medical/health care maintenance, resource referrals, information on child development and coordination of services. Services are provided in the home or at a site of choice by highly skilled nurses and social workers.
Assists individuals with rare diseases with medically related financial needs, veterans and first responders in need of quality of life enhancements, and underfunded education programs and nonprofit organizations serving these populations.
Helps with medically related needs and quality of life enhancements. Purchases items directly for individuals, which typically include medical equipment, home modifications, and co-payments for treatments or medications not covered by the patient's insurance. Some examples: therapy equipment and sessions not covered by insurance, handicap accessible home and car modifications, mobility items, purchasing of developmental and learning devices, co-pays for medically necessary surgeries and medications, other medical needs as recommended by a medical professional.
Not able to assist with past medical bills, funeral costs, lost family income due to disability or death in the family, experimental procedures that do not have federal or other governmental body approval, In Vitro Fertilization Costs (IVF).
The Autism Society of Cumberland County will provide family support services to children suspected of or diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in Cumberland County. This activity will serve children ages B-5 and their siblings with the Circle of Parents Curriculum. Support services provided may include resource, referral, parent education, support groups, workshops, conference scholarships, monthly newsletters, or resource directories
This group is recommended for parents/caregivers of children, ages 1-5 years old, with autism. Meetings on Thursday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and the 4th Thursday from 10:00 pm to 12:00 pm.
The City of Fayetteville Community Development Department operates a network of Neighborhood Resource Centers located throughout the city. The centers are in low to moderate-income communities to give citizens convenient access to resources. The primary focus is to provide the adult job seeker 18 years and older with educational tools and special training that will enhance employability.
