Provides an experience for teens that simulates the parenting of an infant using computerized dolls. This innovative pregnancy prevention program is designed to help young people make responsible, informed choices about pregnancy.
Better Living Series is a class focused on growing, preserving, and preparing healthy foods. During each class, participants are provided with researched-based information and an opportunity to learn through a hands-on approach.
Provides breakfast and lunch daily at no cost or at reduced prices for students who qualify. Free and reduced meals applications may be obtained at individual schools or through the Child Nutrition Office.
Provides early intervention supports & services for infant and toddler children with special developmental needs and their families. Provides service coordination and treatment planning which may include physical, occupational, speech and language or developmental therapy as needed. Anyone may refer a child as long as the parents are notified.
The program serves North Carolina residents under age 21 with chronic or organic defects or conditions that hinder normal growth and development. Provides financial aid for medical bills including hospital and physician’s bills, rehabilitation, and equipment. Service is for chronic conditions only and not acute conditions. The mission of the Crisis Counseling Assistance and Training (CCP) is to assist individuals and communities in recovering from the challending effects of natural and human-caused disasters through the provision of community-based outreach and psychoeducational services.
Provides information for emergency situations such as floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, lightning strikes, winter preparedness, and hazardous materials clean-up. Provides emergency shelters.
