The Easterseals UCP Dorothy Spainhour Child Development Center provides quality early care and education services for children from six weeks to 5 years old. Although Easterseals UCP is known for its work with children with disabilities, this children’s center provides an inclusive program for typical learners as well as children with special needs. Our center is licensed through NC Division of Child Development Early Education as a 5 star center with special Developmental Day Certification. This program is also an NC Pre-k site for Cumberland County.

The Resource Center houses several Cumberland County agencies including Cumberland County Department of Social Services, Cumberland County Mental Health, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and Cumberland County Workforce Development. The Employment Security Commission (321-6460) representative is there 2 days per week.
Provides opportunities for recreation and education for citizens of Spring Lake. Summer: baseball, t-ball, summer day camp. Playground activities for children. Fall/Spring: basketball, football, cheerleading, and soccer. Parks: Mendoza Park, Odell Road Park, Ruth Street Park, Wilson Avenue Mini Park. Afterschool Program at Community Center. Multipurpose Community Center offers: basketball court, nautilus equipment fitness room, three classrooms and banquet room, commercial kitchen with equipment, and game room.
Provides recreational opportunities to citizens of all ages. Activities include leisure activities; classes such as fitness, arts and crafts, and self-defense, programs for Senior Citizens; free play for children after school; and special events. Multi-purpose rooms are available for rental or free for qualified non-profit organizations.

As moms ourselves we understand that life is about finding balance and nurturing our minds and spirits as well as our bodies. By joining a Fit4Mom Village Playgroup and Events Club in your area, you will not only enjoy fun and playful activities with your child, but will build a tight community of like minded moms to share advice, tips and most importantly laughter.
Fit4Moms' Club, powered by Stroller Strides, consists of three essential components:
1. Free Playgroups (once per week) Our goal is to provide meaningful experiences for both mom and child(ren). We facilitate uplifting supportive conversation for mom and developmental activities for children that emphasize wonder, discover and creativity.
2. Moms’ Nights Out (once per month) This is a time for moms! The goal is to provide an activity to allow your moms group to re-discover adult conversation and personal passions.
3. “Moms with a Mission” Our goal is to provide you with a platform to help better the community where you live and play. We organize and inspire members to participate in activities focused on giving back to children, families and the environment.

A subsidized child care service provides for the protection, care, and developmental experiences for children ages birth through 12 years old. Services are provided primarily to low-income families to support employment and training efforts or in conjunction with child protective services. The program provides assistance with the cost of child care. Customers must meet eligibility requirements. See The Division of Child Development and Early Education on line for additional information.
List fee summer meals that are served to children ages 18 and younger and are located at schools, churches, community centers and other places that are safe for kids and teens to go. Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) sites only operate when school is not in session.

Provides care services to all families who have suffered the loss of a soldier. This includes facilitating support groups, coordinating events, as well as, linking families to community resources and services.
Formerly Green's Home for Women, now Teague's Home for women offers transitional housing for homeless women. VA claims Assistance Job Search Assistance/Referral Transitional Housing for Homeless Veterans Mentoring/Life Coaching Assistance with Discharge Upgrades Financial Literacy Classes Transportation to VA for medical care and treatment Peer counseling and support groups. And above all, compassionate care and consideration for the daughters of our nation.
Teague's Home for Women is a faith-based non-profit organization designed to provide women the tools they need to move off the street, learn how to get a job or education and improve their situation.
Peer education program, parent opportunities, and peer training.
Adolescent pregnancy recreational services for children and youth to include parent involvement. Programs are school-based and community-based. Parent support groups are encouraged. Empowers teens and preteens with self-control to reduce risky behaviors and improve self-image.
The Re-Store Warehouse accepts donations of new and used home improvement products such as cabinets, appliances, lighting, furniture, lighting and plumbing fixtures, windows, doors and more. The materials are sold to the public at a discount with the proceeds going back to the community through organizations such as Fayetteville Urban Ministry, Operation Inasmuch, Cumberland Interfaith Hospitality Network, The Center for Economic Empowerment and Development (formerly The Women's Center of Fayetteville), Teague's Home for Women and Habitat for Humanity. These organizations provide much needed programs, assistance and housing for those who are less fortunate. Renovating your kitchen or bathroom? Working on a major remodel or just looking for some cool stuff to spruce up your house.
The S.A.L.T. Project exists to reduce the footprint of trauma on individuals and communities who have experienced, or are still going through crisis. We are Sowing A Legacy Together of G.R.A.C.E. and healing as we provide psychotherapy treatment to people in crisis, develop the next generation of therapists, and supervisors, and supply practical support to under-resourced communities around the world. We believe that everybody should have access to quality mental health care. That is why the S.A.L.T. Project sets fees for therapy based on a sliding scale. Fees are adjusted to the needs of each client based on their income and the size of their household, and can go as low as $5 per session. In some cases, when even a minimum fee may be too much. The S.A.LT project also offers counseling, free of charge.

Offers assessments and counseling for career choices and goals. Provides financial assistance with tuition and books at a community college or trade center for up to 2 years.
