Plans, organizes, and directs structured and affordable leisure time activities for children, adults, and seniors.
Provides services to strengthen and facilitate the educational process by identifying, modifying, and removing barriers to learning with a focus on the areas of: homelessness, child abuse and neglect, academic and behavior concerns, attendance, health concerns, substance abuse, family violence, mental health concerns, and family crisis.
Provide therapy and self-help groups on a variety of mental health needs. Specialize in mood disorders, behavior concerns at home and school. We also offer counseling on domestic violence and parenting children with Mental health needs.

The Easterseals UCP Dorothy Spainhour Child Development Center provides quality early care and education services for children from six weeks to 5 years old. Although Easterseals UCP is known for its work with children with disabilities, this children’s center provides an inclusive program for typical learners as well as children with special needs. Our center is licensed through NC Division of Child Development Early Education as a 5 star center with special Developmental Day Certification. This program is also an NC Pre-k site for Cumberland County.
Special Assistance provides a cash supplement to individuals to help pay for room and board in an adult care home or group home.
Long Term Care provides a cash supplement to individuals to help pay for room and board in a long term care/skilled nursing facility.
Specializes in speech therapy and swallowing disorders, occupational therapy and pediatric physical therarpy.
Offers resources for county residents to fill their informational/recreational reading needs; comprehensive collection of books (including foreign language and ESL materials), magazines, audio/video/DVD materials, local newspapers, access to online databa
The Resource Center houses several Cumberland County agencies including Cumberland County Department of Social Services, Cumberland County Mental Health, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and Cumberland County Workforce Development. The Employment Security Commission (321-6460) representative is there 2 days per week.
The Spring Lake Recreation Center provides recreational opportunities for citizens of Spring Lake and Cumberland County. SLR operates a Community Center Facility to include an indoor gymnasium, classrooms, fitness center, full kitchen, walking trails, and classes for all ages. SLR also operates a Senior Center that is dedicated to provide services to seniors of Spring Lake and Cumberland County. The Town of Spring Lake operates all outdoor parks to include Mendoza, Odell Road, Ruth Street, and Wilson Avenue. This includes all picnic/shelter areas, ball fields, playgrounds, and tennis courts.

Provides opportunities for recreation and education for citizens of Spring Lake. Summer: baseball, t-ball, summer day camp. Playground activities for children. Fall/Spring: basketball, football, cheerleading, and soccer. Parks: Mendoza Park, Odell Road Park, Ruth Street Park, Wilson Avenue Mini Park. Afterschool Program at Community Center. Multipurpose Community Center offers: basketball court, nautilus equipment fitness room, three classrooms and banquet room, commercial kitchen with equipment, and game room.
The Mission of Stedman-Wade Health Services, Inc. are to provide quality, accessible, affordable primary and preventive medical and dental health care in a compassionate and cost effective manner to all populations.
Provides recreational opportunities to citizens of all ages. Activities include leisure activities; classes such as fitness, arts and crafts, and self-defense, programs for Senior Citizens; free play for children after school; and special events. Multi-purpose rooms are available for rental or free for qualified non-profit organizations.
Steps to Health is a nutrition program offered in local elementary schools. Students take part in 9 sessions which focuses on healthy eating and being active.
The Steven A. Cohen Military Clinic provides Military Families with emergency financial assistance up to $200/ a year for prescription drugs, medical supplies, dental extractions, medical equipment, vision services, orthotics and prosthetics, and gas money for out of town appointments. Diabetic management services including, monitoring clinics, classes, and exercise. Eat Smart, Move More, a program of healthy living taught to church or civic groups. Including access to wheelchairs, walkers, bath assisting devices, bedside commodes, and other things.
Training to educate parents, grandparents and everyone who works with children on how to recognize, prevent and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
This training is to help prevent, know the signs of, and when to report child abuse.
Provides affordable leisure activities for youth, adults and seniors.

As moms ourselves we understand that life is about finding balance and nurturing our minds and spirits as well as our bodies. By joining a Fit4Mom Village Playgroup and Events Club in your area, you will not only enjoy fun and playful activities with your child, but will build a tight community of like minded moms to share advice, tips and most importantly laughter.
Fit4Moms' Club, powered by Stroller Strides, consists of three essential components:
1. Free Playgroups (once per week) Our goal is to provide meaningful experiences for both mom and child(ren). We facilitate uplifting supportive conversation for mom and developmental activities for children that emphasize wonder, discover and creativity.
2. Moms’ Nights Out (once per month) This is a time for moms! The goal is to provide an activity to allow your moms group to re-discover adult conversation and personal passions.
3. “Moms with a Mission” Our goal is to provide you with a platform to help better the community where you live and play. We organize and inspire members to participate in activities focused on giving back to children, families and the environment.

A subsidized child care service provides for the protection, care, and developmental experiences for children ages birth through 12 years old. Services are provided primarily to low-income families to support employment and training efforts or in conjunction with child protective services. The program provides assistance with the cost of child care. Customers must meet eligibility requirements. Provides SIDS prevention education to maternity clients - parents and general population upon request.
