Pediatric Developmental Therapy (PDT) was founded with a mission focused on providing quality speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy to children. As part of our mission, the therapists work to give parents the tools and strategies they need to help their children develop and carry over therapy principles to the home. Each child is treated as a individual and the therapy is designed to best meet each child's needs. PDT therapists are educated in a variety of areas and specialties so we are uniquely positioned to make sure children are given the therapy they need to reach their full potential.

Expectant moms will learn about the birthing process, relaxation techniques, coping skills, comfort measures, pain relief options, and postpartum care. Interessted participants are strongly recommended to take the prepared childbirth education class around the 30th week of pregnancy.
Provides companions/volunteers to victims of rape. Companions are on call 24 hours for hospital and courtroom companionship. Provides victim advocacy and community networking. Offers support group meetings throughout the year.
Public Health School Nurses audit school records for up to date immunization records. Supervise administration of medication by school staff. Provide in school screening for vision and hearing. Provide guidance for overall school health issues and links resources to children and parents.

Steps to Health is a nutrition program offered in local elementary schools. Students take part in 9 sessions which focuses on healthy eating and being active.
The Steven A. Cohen Military Clinic provides Military Families with emergency financial assistance up to $200/ a year for prescription drugs, medical supplies, dental extractions, medical equipment, vision services, orthotics and prosthetics, and gas money for out of town appointments. Diabetic management services including, monitoring clinics, classes, and exercise. Eat Smart, Move More, a program of healthy living taught to church or civic groups. Including access to wheelchairs, walkers, bath assisting devices, bedside commodes, and other things.
Provides SIDS prevention education to maternity clients - parents and general population upon request.
Alliance Health is the (MCO) Managed Care Organization for behavioral healthcare for citizens of Cumberland, Durham, Johnston and Wake Counties. Our goal is to assist with access to services and resources for Mental Health, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Disorder Services. ABCD is an intervention in primary-care physician offices.[1] An ABCD staff person provides technical assistance and/or support to deliver high-quality comprehensive primary health care, including medical professionals’ use of standardized, validated, developmental and behavioral screening tools. If a developmental disability, delay, or other concern is identified through the screening process, a referral is made to connect the family with the services and resources needed for their child.

Care Coordination for Children is a voluntary program available to all children of Cumberland County. From birth to five years children with special health care - developmental and social needs are served. Care management services are provided by trained nurses and social workers to assist families in improving health care for their children.
Carolina Collaborative Community Care offers care management and disease management services to improve health outcomes and reduce Medicaid care cost. Serving Carolina Access Medicaid patients and their medical providers located in Cumberland County. To receive services, clients must be a Carolina Access Medicaid enrollee.
This agency provides HIV, Syphilis, Glucose, and Diabetes at a low cost. They no longer do Sickle Cell testing.
A program for pregnant women and moms that are in crisis. The program is for expecting mothers/fathers and any parents or grandparents with children up to 3 yrs. with special requirements. Parents can earn baby clothes, diapers, cribs, car seats, and many other necessities by learning. The program pairs a mother or a father with a counselor who meets with them for 8 weeks. Every lesson earns Mommy Dollars. This money can be spent in the Mommy Store.
