The ALMS HOUSE or Associated Local Ministries in Service Helping Others in Unfortunate Situations and Experiences provides emergency food, clothing, and financial assistance for Hope Mills and Fayetteville area. A referral from Cumberland County Social Service is required.
The ALMS HOUSE coordinates with Hope Mills area social workers to provide packs of food each Friday for children who may not have enough food over the weekend.
Love Lunches are served at our Ellison Street (Hope House) location Monday through Friday at 12 noon and 5 p.m. We also serve meals at 12 p.m. on Saturdays and 5 p.m. on Sundays. Everyone is welcome!!

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading, global voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care and support, and the largest private, non-profit funder of Alzheimer's research. Our mission is to & eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Provides support for those caring for loved ones who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, meets on the third Tuesday of each month.

Provides direct financial assistance to low-income kidney patients in need and education to those who are at-risk for kidney disease. Assists with transportation to dialysis, medications, special diet, kidney donor expenses, and other treatment essentials. Also provides specialty programs to help patients afford treatment during emergency travel and recover from natural disasters.

Provides information and education about asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, tuberculosis, smoking cessation, prevention programs, and other lung diseases. Scholarships available for children with asthma to attend a week-long summer camp.
Provides education and training in personal and/or professional emergency response. Offers First Aid/CPR training, babysitters training for ages 11-15, Wilderness 1st Aid, and other classes to meet OSHA requirements.
Locates and reconnects families separated by war or civil unrest.
Responds to victims of tragedy ranging from single family house fires to entire communities devastated by natural disaster. Chapter volunteers who collect blood in the five counties we serve to help make it possible for countless lives to be saved. Chapter Health and Safety Services instructors train people in first aid, CPR, AED, life guarding, swimming, babysitting, caregiving, and other areas for both individuals and organizations. The Red Cross also is engaged in the global right against AIDS/HIV and is working to reduce transmission and to support those living with this disease.
Provides emergency communication link between a family with an emergency and a military service member stationed anywhere around the world.
Collects volunteer donation of blood for use by patients in North Carolina hospitals.

First In Families is an innovative resource for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Our philosophy is that persons living with disabilities are the authorities and experts regarding their life choices, we have made individual and family choice and trust a must.
Provides support services to military service members and their families.Offers essential programs such as childcare, hospital assistance, spouse support services, food services, computer training classes, health and wellness services, and holiday meals.
Delivers layette packages to new mothers (E4 and below) who have their babies at Womack Army Medical Center.
An annual contest sponsored by the National ASYMCA, open to family members (pre-school through high school) of all active duty service members, Reserves, National Guard, DoD civilian employees, and Retirees. This essay contest promotes reading among children and teens, and encourages parents to find time to sit down and read with their younger children.
