This September, as part of Smart Start Month, the 2025 Kindness Awards unfolded in a way that was as extraordinary as the people it honored. In a year where compassion felt more vital than ever, we reimagined how we celebrate generosity—not with grand stages or spotlights, but with intimate moments that honored the heart behind every act of kindness.
Rather than gathering in a single venue, we brought the celebration to the honorees themselves. Each of the eight recipients were recognized in person, at a location of their choosing—whether it was their workplace, home, or a space that held deep personal meaning. A Partnership board member and the President of the Partnership personally presented each award, ensuring that every honoree felt the full weight of our gratitude and the ripple effect of their kindness.
These visits were more than ceremonies—they were conversations, hugs, tears, and laughter. They were moments of reflection and joy, tailored to the unique spirit of each honoree. And when the honorees came together at the Partnership for a final recognition by the Board, the room was filled not just with applause, but with connection.
Because kindness deserves more than applause—it deserves presence. It deserves to be felt.
