Prevent Child Abuse & Neglect Conference 2019

April 13, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

13th Annual

Prevent Child Abuse & Neglect Conference 2019

It is everyone’s responsibility to recognize and respond in ways that will prevent abuse, neglect and child maltreatment before it occurs.

We, at Partnership for Children, desire to foster a continued environment that will protect and build safe, stable, nurturing, and healthy relationships for all children. The theme and focus for this year’s Prevent Child Abuse & Neglect Conference is ‘Connecting the Pieces of Human Trafficking, Trauma and Self Care’.

During the conference, we will hear from subject matter experts from Project NO REST, Fortitude Counseling Service and one of NAEYC’s National Early Childhood Consultant. At the conclusion of this event, you will be able to discuss the importance of having an increased awareness of human trafficking affecting children and youth, discuss psychoeducation (What is trauma and how does it affect the victims?), and recognize and respond in your role and responsibility as a conscious competent professional in the lives of children, families and professionals.

We will also be recognizing our “Shining Stars”. This will be two ECEPs who have been nominated by parents that deserve to be highlight for the extraordinary ability to communicate, connect and engage with children and families in the childcare industry.
