NC Pre-K Summer Learning

June 28, 2021 – August 6, 2021

The 2020-2021 NC Pre-K Summer Learning Program is made available at no cost to:

  • Any rising kindergartner born between 9/1/2015 and 8/31/2016.
  • Currently enrolled 2020-21 NC Pre-K students born between 9/1/2015 and 8/31/2016.
  • NC Pre-K eligible students (but who have not received NC Pre-K services) born between 9/1/2015 and 8/31/2016.

The NC Pre-K Summer Learning Program intends to provide supplemental summer learning services to alleviate potential learning loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure children enter kindergarten prepared to succeed.

Important Dates and Information

  • The program begins Monday, June 28, 2021
  • Will operate for a minimum of four (4) weeks, but no more than six (6) weeks (depending on specific site)
  • Traditional In-Person Learning for 6.5 hours per day for five days per week  
  • Free Wrap-Around Services (before and after, a maximum of ten (10) hours of care)
