Established in 1964, the Action Pathways, formerlly Cumberland Community Action Program, Inc. (CCAP), strives to develop and operate projects that promote the economic and social well-being of individuals, children, families, and communities. CCAP has a long history of providing sustainable programs to the surrounding community with a visible impact throughout southeastern North Carolina, providing life-changing assistance to hundreds of thousands of individuals and families on an annual basis. CCAP is the parent organization for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast North Carolina (SHFB SE NC); the Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS); the Comprehensive Housing and Weatherization Programs; Self-Sufficiency Programs (ASPIRE); and Head Start. Offers services related to pregnancy by providing maternity clothes, physicals, food pantry, emotional and spiritual support, and children's clothing up to a 4T. Services are free, confidential, and available to all.
Provides furniture, household items, clothing, toys, etc. for Soldiers (E-4 and below) and family members if they cannot afford to purchase them or in emergencies.
The ALMS HOUSE or Associated Local Ministries in Service Helping Others in Unfortunate Situations and Experiences provides emergency food, clothing, and financial assistance for Hope Mills and Fayetteville area. A referral from Cumberland County Social Service is required.
Provides direct financial assistance to low-income kidney patients in need and education to those who are at-risk for kidney disease. Assists with transportation to dialysis, medications, special diet, kidney donor expenses, and other treatment essentials. Also provides specialty programs to help patients afford treatment during emergency travel and recover from natural disasters.

Provides support services to military service members and their families.Offers essential programs such as childcare, hospital assistance, spouse support services, food services, computer training classes, health and wellness services, and holiday meals.
Assists service members, Department of the Army civilians, and their adult family members in conducting effective job searches. Services include job search counseling, and assistance with resume writing and completing government employment applications. Provides speakers to the public and uses volunteers. Internet access available.
Our goal is to help seniors and recovering patients who prefer to stay in their own home while receiving personal care. We arrange for non-medical in-home care visits from registered nurses, personal care aids, and certified nurse assistants. We carry a wide range of packages to suit a variety of budgets and needs. A 3 hour daily minimum applies.
Delivers layette packages to new mothers (E4 and below) who have their babies at Womack Army Medical Center.
The Beatitude House Ministries of the NSRBA seek to give families and individuals "A Hand Up, Not A HandOut." At the Beatitude Houses you will find clothes, toys, and household items priced to fit the needs of families on a tight budget as well as a Food Pantry for those in need.
